Fifth Wheel police trailer steals the show
We recently showed off the Nottinghamshire police trailer at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers Exhibition at the East of England Show Ground, in Peterborough.
While it’s not unusual for the trailer to gather attention on its outings, this show, now in its 37th year, proved that the trailer was a hit not just among the police but the entire emergency services sector.
As guests of Volkswagen, we exhibited the trailer on their main stand, and received numerous compliments on the trailer’s unique design and clever use of space. In fact, there were very few features that didn’t impress on the day.
Its competitive price structure, low maintenance cost and specialist features were just some of the positive comments received by the team, as well as the usual fifth wheel hook up system that provides the unit with safe and stable towing.
With around 300 vehicles displayed on the day, from bikes and fast response vehicles to vans and large commercial vehicles, we joined 150 other exhibitors for the most important show in the emergency service transport sector.
Our Operations Director, Adrian Parry Jones, said: “I knew the vehicle would get a good response as the feedback we have had from the Nottinghamshire Police Force has been really positive.
“Whether they take it to music festivals, marathons or serious incidents, the trailer provides them with all the equipment and space that they need.
“We hope to be able to provide more forces across the UK with our unique trailers and due to the multipurpose function of the unit; ownership could be divided among neighbouring forces to split the cost.”
Hopefully you’ll soon be seeing them on the roads everywhere!
