Fifth Wheel scoops national award
Local caravan and tourer manufacturer Fifth Wheel Company beat off stiff competition from some of the biggest names in the caravan industry to win a Caravan Club Caravan Design Award at the national Motorhome and Caravan Show.
The Rhuallt based family business won ‘Best Caravan over ?25,000’ for its innovative Inos caravan – making it eight years in a row that the company has scooped an award at the show held at the NEC.
Operations Director at Fifth Wheel, Adrian Parry-Jones, said: “We are delighted to have won the award as we have gone head-to-head against some of the biggest names in the caravan industry.
“The fact that we have won an award every year for the past eight years demonstrates that we consistently reach the high standards the judges look for.
“The award is testament to the creative and hard-working team that we have here and it is great that we won the award again during our tenth anniversary year.”
During the show Fifth Wheel launched two new models for 2013- a single-axle Inos caravan and a new DreamSeeker model for 2013 with improved interior design and a bigger slide-out creating more space.
Best known for its innovative fifth wheel tourers, which hook up directly onto the bed of a specially-converted 4×4 pick up-style vehicle, Fifth Wheel was founded in 2002 by husband and wife team Mervyn and Jenny Parry-Jones with their son Adrian, daughter Ceri and son-in law Gethin.
The company has three flagship brands, the luxurious Celtic Rambler, the spacious DreamSeeker and the Inos caravan – which was the UK’s first production line caravan to feature a slide-out compartment.
